The
Freedom Shrine is an impressive, permanently mounted collection of 30 of the
most important and historic American documents, including the Declaration of
Independence, the Constitution of the United States and the Gettysburg Address. These
remarkable documents serve as windows to the world of America's proud past. They
show our nation's youth the strength and courage of their forefathers by
allowing them to read, with their own eyes, the immortal words of inspired
Americans who so decisively changed the course of history.
The Exchange Club of Richmond Hill, since the early 1980's, has installed a Freedom Shrine in each of the five public schools in South Bryan County, as well as at the Richmond Hill City Hall. In these public places, they can be studied and admired, and are a source of inspiration for all citizens, young and old.
